DIRECTOR, NURSING SERVICES- MS. FAOSAT OLAIDE ANIMASHAUN

Ms. Faosat Olaide Animashaun is a Registered Nurse/Midwife /Public Health Nurse with strong experience in delivering quality care to patients. She is a highly qualified professional with extensive clinical experience combined with administration and leadership skills resulting in high performance service standards.

She attended Lagos State School of Nursing, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi between 1983 to 1986 and Lagos State School of Midwifery, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi between 1993 to 1994 to obtain Diploma certificate (Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife)

She proceeded to University of Benin, Institute of Public Administration and Management where she bagged Diploma in Nursing Administration and Management between 1997 to 1998. Still in quest of more knowledge, she obtained her first degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun state where she bagged Bachelor of Nursing Science and Higher National Diploma in Public Health Nursing in 2010.

She also proceeded to University of Lagos, Akoka where she obtained a Masters of Public Administration between 2013-2015.

She has over three decades of Nursing background plus experience in hospital and administration. She is a caring and reliable person with a reputation for building a great rapport between care providers and patients.

Her career started with Lagos State Civil Service through LSHSC (then LSHMB) in 1986 from General Hospital Lagos, she served meritoriously in hospitals under the jurisdiction of Lagos State Health Service Commission.

She served briefly as Acting Director of Nursing Lagos State Ministry of Health, also served as a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Stakeholder committee, Lagos State Drug Revolving Fund Committee, South-West Director of Nursing Services Forum and National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives.

She is the Director of Nursing Services, Lagos State Health Service Commission since 2012 till date and obtained many awards due to her contribution to the nursing profession.
