Dr. Tokunbo Oluwole is successful public Health professional with decades of hands on experience through which she has contributed immensely to the practice of Dental Surgery and Public Health, especially within the Lagos State public health institutions where she had served at various times.
She attended the college of medicine at the University of Lagos Akoka between August 1973 and March 1976 where she bagged a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. She later proceeded to the University of Texas, U.S.A. where she obtained a Masters of Public Health between 1983 and 1986.
Still in quest of more knowledge and skills to add greater value to her service to the people, Dr. Tokunbo Oluwole returned to University of Lagos, Akoka in 2012, where she completed another Maters in Public Administration in 2015.
Her career which commenced in 1979 has seen her to many notable health institutions where she functioned at different capacities. Some of them include Senior Registrar Pedodoutics (Lagos State Dental Services); Constultant Pedondonist (Lagos State Dental Services) and Head, Department of Dental Services (General Hospital, Gbagada).
Dr. Tokunbo Oluwole also established her private professional practice known as the Rotck Dental Centre, Ebute-Metta, and Lagos which has been doing well since 1994 till date.
In September 2009 she was appointed as the Chairman, Gbagada General Hospital Governing Board.
Her involvement in partisan politics saw her in 1998 to contesting the Senatorial seat for Lagos Central District on the platform of the defunct Grassroots Democratic Movement (GDM). She was also the Lagos State Treasurer of the Alliance for Democracy between 2003 and 2006.
A member of the American Academy of Paediatric Dentistry and the Nigeria Medical and Dental Association, Dr. Tokunbo Oluwole has written several publications published in Frontline Medical Journals as well as circular newspapers.
